Mexican Businessman Announces Creation of ‘Trump’ Toilet Paper

A Mexican businessman announced he is introducing “Trump” toilet paper in response to how bothered he is by President Trump’s remarks about his country. Antonio Battaglia, a corporate lawyer, has signed a contract for an initial small fun worth about $21,400, enough toilet paper to fill two cargo trucks, and hopes to create enough demand to expand production.

“My thinking was: We can’t keep quiet, right?” Antonio Battaglia said Wednesday in a phone call with The Associated Press. “So with this insult that was made, [I figured] I’m going to add my grain of sand in response.”

The product will be marketed with the slogan “softness without borders” and “this is the wall that, yes, we will pay for.” Thirty percent of the profits will go toward supporting migrants.

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” Trump said at Trump Tower in New York City. “They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

The package of toilet paper will contain “puros rollos” – a double entendre that can literally mean “pure rolls” or also “pure nonsense.” Packaging will also include a cartoon roll of toilet paper with Trump’s blonde hair, smiling and flashing a thumbs up.
