McCain to Vote Against Sotomayor

Despite recently saying he felt the GOP needed to reach out to Hispanics, Senator John McCain of Arizona announced today that he will be voting against Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor.

2008 Republican presidential nominee, and current Arizona Senator, John McCain, said yesterday that the GOP needs to focus on reaching out to Hispanic voters. He believes that without increased effort in this regard the Republican Party will be left behind.

Senate Judiciary Committee Endorses Sotomayor

Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 13 to 6 to endorse the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. Every Democratic member of the committee voted in favor of the nominee. Lindsey Graham (SC) was the sole Republican who voted for Sotomayor.
